Finger & Fraser assists clients ranging from individuals to large companies and national banks with collection activities involving both unsecured and secured debts. When a loan or a debt is unsecured, we work closely with our clients to develop a strategy that focuses our clients' resources on recoverable assets. We employ liens, promissory notes, mortgages and confessions of judgment, alone or in combination, to achieve a desirable and timely result. The firm's foreclosure practice is set up to efficiently handle a high volume of proceedings involving both prosecution and defense. We systematically pursue actions on behalf of banks, lending institutions, property owners associations and condominium regimes aimed at reducing the costs of collection and court process, while at the same time maximizing our clients' chances of recovery by utilizing Receivers, Special Referees and Deeds in Lieu of Foreclosure combined with Settlement Agreements when appropriate. Once a judgment is obtained, we engage in post-judgment efforts such as supplemental proceedings and domesticating foreign judgments to identify assets and pursue enforcement where it is most effective.
